2nd half of the season begins with the Jalapeños on top.

The Peños enter come out of the all-star break leading the division with a record of 7-1. Aside from an uncharacteristic defeat to the Salamanders back in early June, the Peños have dominated, outscoring their opponents by 79 runs. July looks to be a gauntlet for the Jalapeños and will really test their depth and grit as they have two extra games to make up from rainouts in the first half of the season. As teams enter their mid-season form the competition will be sure to heat up. The Peños begin their second-half push against the Pocket Gophers on Tuesday, July 7th and then a rematch with the 2nd place Gunners on July 14th.
